Hela Province to open key services in Tari this Friday
Preparations are underway for the opening of the BSP Tari Branch and the Internal Revenue Commission [IRC] provincial office, both located within the Hela 2 Building this Friday.
The building will accommodate three major institutions; Mineral Resource Development Corporation [MRDC] on the top floor, IRC on the middle floor and BSP on the ground floor.
Hela Governor Philip Undialu confirmed the grand opening of these key infrastructure projects and stated that there is ongoing discussions with Investment Promotion Authority [IPA] and Nambawan Super to fully occupy the building.
“These services are expected to meaningfully improve access for individuals, small and medium enterprises [SMEs], and corporate clients, easing the burden of doing business and supporting economic growth in the province,” he said.
He stressed that the occasion will also coincide with the opening of more than 40 newly constructed houses at Pai and Enopi Police Barracks, as well as the presentation of 10 new vehicles to the police.
The event is expected to be attended by Prime Minister and Tari Pori MP James Marape along with key ministers, departmental heads, IRC Commissioner and staff, and BSP officials.
Governor Undialu emphasized that these developments reflect the provincial government’s strong commitment to improving service delivery, strengthening law and order, and creating an enabling environment for economic growth in Hela Province under the themes “Hela Will Never Be The Same Again” and “Making Hela Safe Again”.
