TISA Insurance donates vehicle to DBTI for automotive training
TISA Insurance has donated a salvaged vehicle to the Don Bosco Technological Institute [DBTI] to support the school's vocational automotive training program.
The vehicle, which was previously involved in an accident, was assessed by the insurance company and deemed in suitable condition for educational use. Rather than scrapping the asset, the company opted to repurpose it as a instructional tool for students learning modern automotive systems.
Vocational institutions frequently face resource constraints when attempting to provide students with hands-on experience on contemporary vehicles. DBTI faculty said access to intact, modern vehicle components helps bridge the gap between classroom theory and current industry standards, preparing students for the types of technology they will encounter after graduation.
According to a statement from TISA Insurance, the donation is part of an ongoing community initiative aimed at supporting local technical capacity and workforce development.
