Gulf electoral office begins 2027 Election awareness

The Gulf Provincial Electoral Office has started awareness for the National Elections 2027 to inform communities of the voter enrollment update and photo-roll program that will be launched for the province on the 4th of July next month.

Desmond Goka, Provincial Training and Awareness Officer, says the team is carrying out awareness on the second phase to inform communities of new enrollments, transfer-in enrollments, and provision enrollments.

He says LLG coordinators are expected to be present for the launch and undergo a day’s training before deploying to their respective LLGs to conduct the voter enrollment update and photo-roll program.

Meanwhile, the team is carrying out awareness to six of the nine LLGs in Kerema District. These are Urban Kerema, Keipi Melaripi, Malalaua Urban, Taure Lakekamu, Toaripi, and Moripi, which are accessible by road.
