Financal literacy for students
Having management and control over your finances in these hard economic times is just as crucial to students as it is to adults.
That's the aim of a Financial Literacy Training in Alotau targeting students on school holiday.
A training usually reserved for people in small to medium enterprises and the average side hustle, it's something that should really be reinforced at a young age.
They taught the savings culture, budgeting, calculation of start-up costs, time management and goal settings tied to savings plans.
23 of them received certificates of Financial Literacy supported by the local Division of Commerce.
Hope is that these kids are able to manage their Allowances, open their minds to business opportunities and be able to fend for themselves when the need arises.
