Unemployed youths have potential to be part of Nation building
Unemployed youths around the country have the potential to rapidly develop and change the country through their engagement in various sectors.
This vision was shared by President of the PNG Law Society Hubert Namani.
He issued a bold call for the government to move beyond viewing the unemployed youth as a security threat but rather as a national human resouce asset of the country.
Namani called on relavent State agencies to immediately structure a mobilization plan to turn young people into the engine of Papua New Guinea’s development.
Under his vision, the State would prioritize apprenticeship and vocational training programs for youths in sectors like agriculture, tourism, and infrastructure.
Namani argues that by transforming raw labor into skilled enterprise, the country can replace the cycle of poverty with a culture of dignity and self-sufficiency.
