Education Department commits to Kaki secondary and Kopen national school of excellence

The Ministry for Education committed a sum of one million kina to the Kaki Secondary.

During Kaki Secondary School in Enga’s second graduation for grade 10s and first for the pioneer grade 12s of the school last week, Education Minister, Francis Kikin Siune committed a sum of K1million to the school to help in its development.

While, honoring previous commitment by the education department to the Kopen National School of Excellence worth K5 million.

Clarifying the education Ministers commitment Education Secretary, Dr. Uke Kombra said the K1million is only a commitment made by the education department to Kaki Secondary.

Through the previous Minister, Lucas Dawa Dekena made a commitment to build Kopen an auditorium and a STEM lab, honoring that commitment a K5 Million Kina has been allocated and is available for the Kopen National School of Excellence.

One million Kina to build the STEM lab has already been deposited into the schools account while the four million for the auditorium is available and in the education department’s trust and will be signed over after necessary signings with provincial authorities of Enga.
