75 grade 10 students of a newly established, Mambe High School school in Wewak District graduated as pioneers last Friday marking a historic occasion for Turubu LLG.

Mambe High School is the second High School in Turubu that serves the rural communities of an emerging economic and agricultural hub of Est Sepik Province.

Despite critical development milestones, parents and teachers have managed to conclude the academic year for their first grade 10 students.

"This is the history I have been telling you about", says Gregory Naro.

Naro is the BOG Chairman who pushed for the establishment of the school in 2025.
School Head Teacher Lux Mailen says parental contributions have brought the new school and it's growing needs to the end.

This successful 1st grade 10 graduation reflects strong parental support and excellent working relationship between students, parents and teachers. It also reflects the the commitment of rural people to sustaining basic services.

Local MP Stanley Samban who has contributed to the school's development urged the people of Turubu to look after basic services and appoint leaders who will bring services into their local communities.
Noting his precious support to Turubu LLG, Samban expressed his commitment to continue that strong support in delivering critical development milestones.

The 75 pioneer students from Mambe High School are now sitting for their first National Exams, joining 63 students from their neighbor Mandi High School.
